1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
