We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 And do not ascribe divinity to aught side by side with God: verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!" 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Verily Allah! He is the Provider, Owner of power, Firm. 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60
