Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
