۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
