3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
