3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
