3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
