3/4 Hizb 45

Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
