Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
