And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
