Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
