Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
