We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
