THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
