We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
