We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
