And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
