We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
