We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
