Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 They say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
