Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 We glorify God." 166 They used to say before: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
