Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 What though they would say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
