Hizb 46

And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
