Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 They say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
