Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
