Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 They used to say before: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
