Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
