Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
