Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 From which you turn away. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
