Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
