(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 yet you ignore it. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
