Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
