The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
