54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

HA MIM. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
