Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Truly, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW) and do righteous good deeds, for them will be an endless reward that will never stop (i.e. Paradise). 8
