We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
