We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
