Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 Is the food of the sinful 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 "Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" 50 Verily! The Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), will be in place of Security (Paradise). 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 We shall unite them to maidens with big black and white lovely eyes. 54 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember. 58 Wait (for God's decree) and they too will be waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
