Do those whose hearts are sick think that God will never make their malice public? 29 And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds. 30 And most certainly We will try you until We have known those among you who exert themselves hard, and the patient, and made your case manifest. 31 Those who reject Allah, hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and resist the Messenger, after Guidance has been clearly shown to them, will not injure Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds of no effect. 32 O you who believe, obey God and the Prophet, and do not waste your deeds. 33 ۞ As for those who disbelieve and bar (others) from the Path of Allah and then die as unbelievers; Allah will not forgive them. 34 So, be not faint-hearted and do not cry for peace. You shall prevail. Allah is with you and will not bring your works to nought. 35 The life of this world is only a game, a pastime, but if you believe and are mindful of God, He will recompense you and will not ask you for your wealth. 36 Should He ask for your possessions you would be niggardly as it would be hard for you to give. Thus, He would make your malice become public. 37 Yes, undoubtedly it is you who are being called, that you may spend in Allah’s way; so some among you act miserly; and whoever is miserly, is being a miser upon himself; and Allah is the Independent (Wealthy – Not requiring anything), whereas you all are needy; and if you renege, He will replace you with other people – and they will not be like you. 38
