45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know very well what the earth takes away from them: We hold a book which records all things. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
