Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
