Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
