Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
