Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
