Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
