Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
