Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
