Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
