Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
