Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- 32 “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
